Product Audit Services

Enertek offer an independent audit service to support client’s internal quality systems.

Most clients who currently use Enertek’s audit facility fit in to two categories:

Retailers / Distributors

Companies who distribute products manufactured by a third party have a duty of care to ensure that the products are ‘fit for performance’ and ‘of merchantable quality’. Depending upon their market and geography they may have additional statutory requirements (for example taking responsibility for the CE Mark).

How Enertek can help you in this process by:

• Conducting a product evaluation for new products.
• Checking that the manufacturer’s claims regarding Certification are valid and complete.
• Identifying any other areas where certification may be required.
• Conducting audit test work on a statistical basis to ensure obligations are met. (Any deviations are reported immediately). 

Manufacturers

Manufacturers use Enertek to supplement their internal ‘end of line’ testing and to reduce the need for independent verification from the Notified Body responsible for certifying their quality system.

Enertek provide this service by:

• Conducting audit test work on a statistical basis to ensure quality obligations are met. (Any deviations are reported immediately).
• Producing an independent audit report for lodging within the manufacturer’s quality system which is available for inspection by the Notified Body responsible for their ISO 9000 accreditation.
• In addition, Enertek often provide specific audit services for pre-production appliances and conduct Unit Verification tests for field trials.

All instrumentation used for audit testing is calibrated and traceable to National Standards and test work is carried out under Enertek’s EN17025 quality system.
